Since graduating, Ms. Ho has excelled in Event Design and Immersive Experience, crediting her NUS Industrial Design education for her success. She emphasises the importance of high-impact concepts, economic realism and feasibility in her work. Her contributions have helped her company expand into new sectors and international markets.
A significant and impactful achievement under her leadership was the “Lee Kuan Yew: The Experience” exhibition, which received high praise and was extended due to its success. PM Lee personally validated its impact. Ms. Ho’s work has inspired NUS students and contributed significantly to their learning journey. She actively supports NUS by sharing her professional insights with students, participating in initiatives like the Design Incubation Centre and fostering a strong connection between students and their alma mater.
Ms. Shobana received the Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) in 2023, recognising her dedication to teaching. The OYEA honors young teachers who are inspiring role models. During her time at NUS, she led a Youth Expedition Project (YEP) to Sri Lanka and co-founded Vaangae Anna, a non-profit organisation integrating migrant workers in Singapore through activities and events. During the pandemic, she used social media to support migrant workers.
Ms. Shobana was active in the NUS Indian Cultural Society, served as Finance Manager and led the ECE Orientation Camp. While not yet active as an alumna, plans are underway to engage her for future sharing sessions and social media outreach to inspire current students.
Mr. Vincent, co-founder of Wateroam, drives the mission to provide clean water to underserved communities. He leads technology innovation, oversees operations and has secured over USD 1 million in funding. Vincent also directs Wateroam’s Indonesia subsidiary in Jakarta and Batam.
Wateroam’s solutions have provided clean water access to over 300,000 people in 43 countries. Mr. Vincent was named one of the UN’s 17 Young Leaders for Sustainable Development Goals and was an Obama Foundation Scholar at Columbia University. He supports NUS through various collaborations and student outreach.
Dr. Lee is the CEO and co-founder of Green COP, which transforms biowaste into sustainable fuel. Green COP has pioneered initiatives advancing sustainable energy solutions by prioritizing a "JUST TRANSITION" approach to green the economy within the maritime and transportation sectors, ensuring inclusivity and leaving no one behind. Green COP is also a finalist in the Temasek Liveability Challenge 2024. He has presented their innovations to the Minister of Transport and industry leaders. Recently, he was appointed as an Elite Fellow for the modules 'Reaction Engineering for Bioreactors' and 'Research Project,' as well as a member of the Industry Advisory Panel at the University of Malaya.
As a long-time volunteer for the Tzu Chi Foundation, Dr. Lee has spoken at events like LogiSYM Asia Pacific 2023 and the Malaysia Digitalisation Supply Chain Conference. He has also shared expertise at Xiamen University, the SMI forum, Deloitte Morning Pitch Asia and Innovfest 2024. He mentored students in the EG2605 Undergraduate Research Opportunity Programme and served as a teaching assistant for CN3421 Process Modelling and Numerical Simulation.
Ms. Tong is passionate about promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). At Dentsu International, she led “Women in Technology” initiatives in the APAC region and now plays a key role in “Women at Apple” South East Asia and the inclusion and diversity committee in the Apple JAPAC region.
Ms. Tong is active in the Global Shaper Beijing hub’s SheShapes programme, empowering young females and has completed over 110 hours of community service in the past year, supporting causes like aiding low-income families and promoting sustainability. As an NUS alumna, she volunteers with Team Nila and participates in NUS care and alumni activities. She also serves as the community manager of the CDE ISEM Alumni Association Exco, strengthening the alumni network.
